Pharaohs of the Russian Empire

Eagle, Falcon, Horus, History of RussiaPharaohs were not merely kings of Egypt, they were gods of Egypt. According to Egyptian mythology, god Osiris was the first pharaoh of Egypt back in the Golden Age. Then, he was killed by his brother Seth. His wife, Isis, the goddess of life, put Osiris together and revived him with her magic long enough to get pregnant with their son, Horus, who took his father's place as a legitimate ruler of Egypt and the Universe. As such, he was considered an incarnation of Osiris.

Ever since, every pharaoh of Egypt was considered a living god, an incarnation of Horus. Once he died, he became Osiris, and his successor became Horus. And so it continued from the generation to generation, year after year, century after century, for three millennia. It was the Ancient Egyptian belief that this line will continue on and on as long as the humans roam the Earth.

And when it will break, without the protection of a god, the whole Earth will succumb into a total annihilation. After all, for Egyptians the happy end was not something taken for granted. Even the next day was problematic. Each night before the sunrise, the supreme god Ra had to fight the evil snake Anubis to ensure that tomorrow comes. Many factors counted in this everyday battle, and one of them was the fact that Ra's grandson Osiris, reincarnated as Horus in the current pharaoh, ruled the Earth. Of course, ordinary citizens had to contribute to Ra's fight through their good intentions and moral behavior, but beyond that there was a fight for his own, for a child of a child, for Ra's progeny.

You may wonder, what happened afterward? After the three millennia on the edge of what we call "Anno Domini" or simply "Common Era" Where did the line of living gods broke? When? In fact, it did not. Strange as it sounds, this information is open to everybody willing to check it. Truly, many are invited, few are chosen. People simply don't see that... Here are few facts for your consideration.

Julius Caesar effectively married the last Queen of Egypt - Pharaoh Cleopatra. He recognized their common child as his heir. That was the last time the Egypt had a pharaoh. That was the first time, Rome had an emperor. That was the time when the line of God-Emperors moved from Egypt. Unfortunately for Rome, the child of Cleopatra did not survive. Augustus, who was like a son to Julius Caesar, took the power.

Without a continued bloodline his progeny did not survived long, ended with a Nero in 68. Vespasian - the next long term emperor and founder of Flavian dynasty - was proclaimed by legions an emperor in July 69. He spent almost a year in Egypt before claiming the throne at home in September-October of 70. What did he wait for? While being in Alexandria, he visited the Temple of Serapis and received the blessing for throne. At least, that's what the ancient authors like Suetonius and Tacitus tell us.

The line of God-Emperors has moved to the Roman Empire, but it did not stay there for long. The Emperor Constantine the Great had moved the capital of the empire to another city - Constantinople. With a time, West Roman Empire with Rome became less of an interest to the rulers of the empire and fall off, although even as late as the fifth century, their emperors were approved in the East, in what we call an East Roman Empire, or Byzantine.

Byzantine stood a very long time and witnessed the rise of Islam and Crusaders. Eventually - with the help of Crusaders and Catholic Church - it has fallen. The last Byzantine Emperor Constantine XI did not have children, but his brother - Thomas Paeologue - did. His daughter, Sophia (Zoe) Paeologue married Ivan III of Russia on November 12, 1472 in an Uspensky Sobor (Temple) in Moscow. Together with her husband they've built on the idea of Moscow as a Third Rome. Her son, Vasilii (Basileus) III continued in this direction, and her grandson Ivan IV the Terrible was the first Russian monarch to assume the title of csar (tsar) - "Caesar". Thus began the Imperial Russia.

It may sound as some complicated genealogical mumbo-jumbo for a Westerner, but if an Ancient Egyptian would look at it, it would mean just one thing for him - the line of God-Emperors survived the fall of Egypt and ended up ruling the Russian Empire. If you have any doubts, compare the Egyptian drawing of the god (and the first pharaoh) Horus (as a falcon) and the 19th century official seal ("gerb") of the Russian Empire:

Two birds of prey in the same pose with the same symbols of status and power. Only the disk of Sun evolved into the crown, but otherwise essentially the same.

Of course, it looks like the line of Russian Emperors was interrupted in the earlier XX century. However, the sun still raises over the horizon every morning. For an Ancient Egyptian it would mean just one simple thing: somewhere, somehow, the line of God-Emperors survived providing Ra an incentive to fight each day for the very existence of our world. Where is he now, the modern incarnation of Horus and Osiris? Did they flee the country in the 20th Century or still live somewhere in the vast land that was ruled by their forefathers? Who knows?...
